Eighth Annual Burlington Riverfront Jazz Festival

The 2008 edition of the Burlington Riverfront Jazz Festival will start on Friday evening September 5th, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM with the Jazz Walk along High Street in Burlington City, just a 1/2 block from the RIVER LINE Light Rail Stop. Followed by the Jazz Festival on the Riverfront Promenade at the Band Shell on Saturday September 6th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Both Events are free to the public although donations are solicited and greatly appreciated.

High Street Jazz Walk

On Friday evening the Burlington Riverfront Jazz Festival kicks off on High Street in Burlington. You can walk up and down the street and watch SophisTaJazz at Cafe Gallery inside on the patio. The Brian Menendez Trio will be playing at the Union Street Mini-Park area across from UMMM's Ice Cream. There will also be a surprise performer at Birches Restaurant. Guests can also grab a seat at umbrella’d tables, while enjoying the great food and fair of the fine eating establishments.

Burlington Riverfront Jazz Festival

On Saturday afternoon following the world famous Wood Street Fair, we present more of the areas' greatest jazz performances all FREE!

Starting at 3:00 PM The Ben Vinci Quartet will take the stage. At 4:00 PM SOUL7 will be entertaining the crowd with their Soulful Jazz, brought to life. The Behn Gillece Band — one of Burlington's own, returns home from New York City to bring his brand of Jazz and talents to the stage at 5:00 PM. Then, at 6:00 PM, the headlining group, The dtmPROJECT featuring David Thomas May whose piano/keyboard work and compositions make for a fantastic listening experience will take the stage.
